I’ve been a professor of filmmaking, media literacy and much more since 2005. My philosophy of teaching is that students need a professor who is animated, experienced and passionate about the subject matter, classes that are well-organized, and expectations that are challenging, fair and clear.
Courses I have taught:
Introduction to Video Production, Screenwriting, Communication and Culture, Oral Rhetoric, Video Storytelling, Documentary Filmmaking, Digital Video Editing, Television News Reporting, Hands On Documentary Filmmaking, Television & Radio News Writing, Media and Culture, History of the Cinema, Future Tech, Storytelling
I purchased my 1982 DeLorean in 2016 and drove it 3000 miles back to Alaska. I created the hit live event and podcast Dark Winter Nights: True Stories from Alaska which The New York Times called “the best winter podcast for storytelling lovers.” Chilling with my cat Ginger.
